📦 Increase in Parcel Thefts Dear Resident, With more online shopping and home deliveries taking place, we have seen an increase in reports of parcels being stolen after being left unattended outside properties. To help keep your deliveries safe, please consider the following advice: ✅ Track your parcel and sign up for delivery notifications so you know when it is expected to arrive. ✅ Choose a safe delivery option if you won't be at home, such as a trusted neighbour, family member, secure location, or local collection point. ✅ Use doorbell cameras or CCTV where possible. They can help deter offenders and provide valuable evidence if a crime occurs. ✅ Keep parcels out of sight and, if accepting a delivery for a neighbour, store it securely until it can be collected. ✅ Look out for your neighbours, especially those who may be elderly or vulnerable, and let them know if you notice a parcel left unattended. If a parcel is stolen, please report it to the retailer and delivery company as soon as possible. Any CCTV or doorbell camera footage may assist enquiries and should be retained. 👀 If you notice suspicious behaviour around homes or see individuals targeting delivered parcels, please report it to us via 101 or online. In an emergency, always call 999. Thank you for helping us keep our neighbourhoods safe. Greater Manchester Police 🚔 #SaferCommunities #CrimePrevention #ParcelSafety #NeighbourhoodWatch | ||
